Camp Walt Whitman is a premier, co-ed, traditional sleep-away camp located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. With over 400 campers and 200 staff, Camp Walt Whitman is an incredible place to meet people from all over the world in a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community. We work together to provide our campers with a positive and powerful experience that will last a lifetime, all while having a ton of fun and gaining valuable skills in leadership and communication along the way.
As a camp we are looking for adventurers who can share the world of adventures with our campers. Ideally candidates have experience hiking and leading trips both with groups and personally. Having experience on the water and driving boats, while also being able to teach the skills and techniques to children aged 8-15. Experience is ideal but we are open to others who have less experience and are able to do lead adventures safely with our campers.
Training and Certifications will be provided at camp.
We certify staff in Wilderness First aid and CPR, Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid depending on position.
The season runs from early June-Mid-August. This is full-time seasonal employment where we provide room and board, competitive salary, and a travel stipend.
