I have been a Watersports Instructor for the past 8 years, with 4 years teaching abroad and the other 4 teaching in Ireland (my home country).
3 of those years have been in a management position working in both RYA centres and holiday resorts flying under the RYA flag.
I am currently training to become a Dinghy/Windsurf Coach with the course date set for the end of the summer. I am determined and enthusiastic and have been successful while working inside the watersports industry, and I enjoy working in a team and creating a very friendly environment for everyone on my team.
I am currently employed as the chief Powerboat Driver and Instructor in Strangford Sailing Club where I am organising and running pre-season Powerboat Level 2 courses as well as Safety Boat Driving Courses.
I worked for four season with Neilson Active Holidays in Turkey, Greece and Italy and held Beach supervisor through this company. My experience here was very valuable to me, seeing large operations in progress and starting to deal with large numbers of customers on a daily basis.
I went on to work as a Manager at Lagoon Watersports in Brighton, UK. Seeing how a business is run was hugely useful to me as operating business is a passion of mine. As well as this it was good to work back in the UK and start to prepare for the Coach Selection Course.

My roles in the past have operated from March/April throughout November at its latest, but I am willing to work earlier/later if the right role is available.
