Job Description:
- Facilitate adventure programs for International School students in the wild areas of Hong Kong
- Ensure safety during all activities, such as rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, gorge trekking, navigation, amongst others
- Observe group dynamics and facilitate the experiential learning process utilizing both soft and hard skills
- Provide an opportunity for young people to recognize and reach their potential
Job Requirements:
- Highly motivated & passionate with a desire to inspire
- Previous experience in facilitating Outdoor & Experiential learning programs
- Experience in leading and instructing outdoor pursuits: rock climbing, abseiling and other high element activities, gorge walking, kayaking, team initiatives, basic navigation, amongst others
- Strong work ethic with an ability to work long days and overnight programs
- Strong sense of team work
- Appropriate references
- Candidates should be over 21 years old
- Able to work in Hong Kong from Sept-Dec 2019 with an option to be invited to work from Feb-May 2020
- Current nationally recognized Criminal Record Check certificates
Qualifications:
- Must hold a national governing body (NGB) award in water-based activities (i.e. BC Coach Award or BC Paddle sport instructor, etc.) and land-based activities (i.e. SPA, ML, NZOIA Rock 1, etc.)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (Wilderness First Aid preferred)
