TENDER CAPTAIN/WATER SPORTS MANAGER FOR PRIVATE ISLAND IN FRENCH POLYNESIA.

This is a very exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity to become part of a team of hospitality professionals who will be setting up and running a brand-new resort on a private island in French Polynesia. We are seeking an experienced Tender Driver/Water Sports Instructor with at least 2 years’ experience in yachting and ideally a Yachtmaster.

We have a second position open for a General Manager of the Island which could suit a couple. The General Manager will have previously held the position of Purser or Chief Steward(ess) on a yacht.

Permanent role: salary, leave, start date to be negotiated. The Island runs to a similar level to super yachts with a maximum of 12 guests with an affluent clientele and a focus on water sports and high-end customer service.

Desired skills/experience: English essential, French preferred. Yacht master preferred but would consider a candidate with at least 2 years tender driving experience. Current First Aid certificate. Water sports experience including; surfing, kite boarding, wake boarding, scuba diving and spear fishing. Managing all marine operations including passenger transfers, and cargo deliveries.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants.
