The natural, cultural and historic heritage of the Kapiti Wellington District is important to us. It is the Department of Conservation’s mission to ensure that these resources are protected for all to enjoy, now and in the future.
It is in this context we are seeking to appoint a part time permanent team member to provide additional skills to the already amazing work delivered by the Community Team.
The focus of the position will be on high quality input into conservation-related Resource Management Act issues associated with coastal, freshwater and indigenous biodiversity, in addition to supporting community groups to deliver conservation initiatives.
To be successful, you will be self-motivated and have well-developed analytical, communication and relationship skills, as well as experience in resource management.
