Mountain Biking Canada : HOW TO GET STARTED

 

The PMBIA Association is a good starting point for certification or to re-certify (something you'll need to do every 3 years). They offer 4 levels of certifications courses for Instructors and Guides.

 

• The entry level course is a Ride Guide Course to train leaders for small beginner groups on green and blue trails
• Level 1 trains instructors to teach skills on green and blue trails.
• Once you are an experienced instructor, Level 2 allows you to teach advanced riders and introduce jumps and drops (Air) or technical trail maneuvers (Trail)
• Level 3 is for very experienced instructors who want to teach advanced to expert riders and offer long term
