Stand Up Paddle Africa : HOW TO GET STARTED

Most companies will hire a paddler with Accredited Course or Certification. The sport is growing fast South Africa in particular.

 

In South Africa the national sports body for Stand Up Paddling is SUPSA, Stand Up Paddling South Africa, in Partnership with SSA, Surfing South Africa

 

If you are in Africa, and want to be an instructor, contact a local company to ask their requirements or if they provide training. Otherwise, you could check out the Academy of Surfing Instructors and find a certification course near you, they have courses around the globe. None in Africa yet, but Portugal isn’t too far!
